Project update: ČEPRO fuel storage capacity extension
At the ČEPRO Hněvice site, six new tanks for diesel and gasoline are under construction. The final hydrostatic test is currently being carried out on tank H230-09. The completed tanks are undergoing blasting, coating, and PUR insulation. In parallel, work on the associated technologies has started. On this project, we provide Investor Technical Supervision (TDI) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) across all parts of the construction.
At the turn of 2023 and 2024, the second stage of the expansion of the fuel storage facility at ČEPRO, a.s. in Hněvice was launched.
The project includes the construction of six above-ground cylindrical storage tanks intended for diesel fuel and gasoline.
These tanks will be connected by pipelines to the existing technological systems at the Hněvice site. Each storage tank, with an outer diameter of 33.85 m and a height of 17.60 m, is designed as a single-shell, visually inspectable structure with a steel containment basin.
The tank bottoms are double-layered with continuous monitoring of the interspace for leaks. Each tank is placed on a reinforced concrete foundation slab, with stability ensured by concrete piles.
Each tank has a capacity of 10,000 m³, and construction is scheduled for completion in 2026.
The project’s general contractor for ČEPRO, a.s., the investor, is Metrostav DIZ s.r.o.
